The idea was that people involved in the protest could still then make their way to the protest area on foot to continue the protest. That all ended when Trudeau recklessly invoked the Emergencies Act sicking riot police on the protesters and stymieing the plans Lich and Barber had made to move the trucks out. As for the other protests, these have been going on for months on end throughout the country, if you added up all the time these protests have lasted it would be much longer than the three weeks the of the convoy.

I guess my point is that it was nonstop for 3 weeks and involved trucks. Most protests are just people chanting and they do so for maybe a few hours and then they go home. They might come back a few days or a week later but they dont camp out nonstop for a few weeks and then park massive trucks on the streets honking horns all the time. People were living there for a few weeks continuosly. I have never seen any protest set up like that so its not unreasonable for some to say it went too far.

The only thing left here is political persecution, “lawfare,” because there were/are no grounds for any prosecution in the first place based on the two court rulings. Worst case should have been an absolute discharge or a you can’t visit Ottawa for 5 years.. worst case.
