Rights of Obscenely Dressed Trafalgar Highschool Trans Teacher Trump Those of Students
Dr. Jordan Peterson Predicted This Over Five Years Ago
It’s been three weeks since a Canadian highschool made international headlines when pictures surfaced on the internet of a ‘trans’ teacher teaching a shop class while sporting obscenely gigantic fake breasts with protruding nipples, a see-through blouse, a skin tight mini skirt and a cheap wig.
Yet, after three weeks of lampooning from the international press, protests by parents and students, and school board officials dodging questions from reporters and parents, this man, yes he is a man, is still teaching at Trafalgar Highschool, in Oakville, Ontario and still dressing in the same outrageous manner. That’s right the school and school board officials have chosen to stand by the ‘teacher’ over the outraged parents and students who feel uncomfortable in his class. Apparently the Halton District School Board “recognizes the rights of students, staff, parents/ guardians and community members to equitable treatment without discrimination based upon gender identity and gender expression.” Other than senior school officials, other teachers at Trafalgar have been mum on the subject, for fear of losing their jobs, no doubt.
What has the Ontario government, which is responsible for the delivery of provincial educational standards done about it? Well, Education Minister Stephen Lecce wrote a letter to the Ontario College of Teachers raising the issue from a professional standards point of view stating: “In this province, in our schools, we celebrate our differences and we also believe that there must be the highest standards of professionalism when in front of our kids,” Lecce asked, not demanded, the College review and consider strengthening its provisions with respect to professional conduct and to get back to him by the end of November. So the kids and parents have to put up with this drag show for at least another month and a half, to see how that plays out. The Minister only resorted to the letter after conversations between Ministry of Education bureaucrats and the Halton Board went nowhere, with the board maintaining that this is a human rights issue and that gender identity, and gender expression, are protected by both the Canadian and Ontario Human Rights Code. They have also resorted to claiming this is a personnel matter and therefore they will not comment on it.
So here we are. We have taxpayer funded bureaucrats, who are charged with educating children, but instead of putting them and their education, and perhaps their mental health first, they defend a man who may have a lot more going on mentally than gender dysphoria. One does not have to be a psychologist to look at this situation and think it looks more like someone with a fettish or sexual fantasy of somehow enticing young boys and getting off on it. And it is mostly boys, this is a shop class, and the kids, in some cases, are as young as thirteen or fourteen.
So is this how far down the trangender rabbit hole we have gone? Well yes it is and it's also something Dr. Jordan Peterson warned us about a little over five years ago. It was a warning that would also skyrocket him to international celebrity and simultaneous fame and infamy that he still commands today. Jordan Peterson - Wikipedi
It all began in 2016 when the Liberal government introduced a bill to amend the Canadian Human Rights Act and Criminal Code to recognize gender identity and expression as protected rights and grounds for discrimination. Peterson, a University of Toronto professor and Clinical Psychologist, raised strong objections to it because he saw, in it, what many others didn’t and still don’t: that the changes signalled the increasing encroachment, on western society including governments and educational systems, of a radical leftist ideology that advances post modern doctrines such as transgender activism, climate change alarmism, identity politics, critical race theory and attacks on free speech. He had already witnessed, with concern, how quickly this ideology had taken root in western academics, particularly in the humanities and social sciences. In an op-ed for the National Post he further outlined how the proposed amendments were another step on a dangerous path that would lead to further assaults on free speech and further advance elements of the radicalists’ agenda and eventually invade the foundations of western science and biology.
Bill C-16 is predicated on absolute nonsense: sex is a biological fact that is determined by anatomy and chromosomes. Independent of biological sex, there is gender identity (which, according to the Ontario Human Rights Commission, is the personal sense of being “a woman, a man, both, neither or anywhere along the gender spectrum”). Independent of that, there is gender expression (how a person “publicly expresses their gender,” including their fashion choices, such as “dress, hair (and) makeup”). These exist and manifest themselves purely as subjective choices. This is an axiomatic (self-evident) part of the new legislation, by the way, mandating social constructionism as the legally sanctioned scientific doctrine of the land. Look out, evolutionary biologists. The PC police are coming your way.
Regarding free speech, Peterson pointed to the discrimination grounds of the bill maintaining that it could compell Canadians to use gender-neutral or preferred pronouns when addressing transgenders and he didn’t pull any punches in that area: I will never use words I hate, like the trendy and artificially constructed words “zhe” and “zher.” These words are at the vanguard of a post-modern, radical leftist ideology that I detest, and which is, in my professional opinion, frighteningly similar to the Marxist doctrines that killed at least 100 million people in the 20th century.
Here is the op-ed in its entirety.
Jordan Peterson: The right to be politically incorrect | National Post
Well it's 2022 and we are here, now. A highschool ‘teacher’ has been going to his class in outlandish drag for at least three weeks and school board officials are placing his right to continue this circus, above the rights of the students and their parents. The municipal government has said nothing, the provincial government is timidly trying to address the matter and while the legacy media has reported on it, its coverage has been pretty muted in casting any judgement on the situation.
This is just one example of just how pernicious the activist elements of the transgender movement and its accompanying ideologies have become, but we don’t have to go far to find another. In January of this year the Waterloo District Schoolboard, also in Ontario, shut down teacher, Carolyn Burjoski, when she in a presentation to the Board, expressed concern over some transgender books the board had recommended for Transgender Awareness Day (yes, you heard it right) for Grades K to 6. Burjoski felt that some of the books made the process of medically transitioning to another gender seem ‘simple’ and ‘cool’. To illustrate her point she referenced a scene from a book called ‘The Other Boy’ wherein Shane, a transgender boy, voiced excitement about starting on testosterone and when told by the doctor ‘he’ likely won’t be able to have children, Shane says, “It’s cool.” According to the chair, Burjoski’s comments violated the province’s Human Rights Code as it pertained to transgender rights. Burjoski’s shutdown was followed up by what she describes as a ‘stay-at-home order, and further instructions not to communicate with colleagues or students and that she was under investigation. But Burjoski is fighting back and has filed a lawsuit against the Waterloo Board for censoring her freedom of speech.
My Response to the WRDSB's Statement of Defence
Public schools in Ontario now include transgender education as part of their cirriculum, for kids as young as five and six. An Ottawa, Ontario resident, Pam Buffone, discovered this when her six year old came home from school upset because her teacher said during one of the lessons that, “boys are not real and girls are not real.” Buffone lodged a complaint with the Ontario Human Rights Tribunal, but not surprisingly, the Tribunal ruled against her saying the school had not violated the girls rights (remember a six-year old) with its gender themed instruction, as there was no direct evidence she was harmed by the material. According to the Adjudicator, the decision was focused on whether the girl had been a victim of discrimination. She further added, however, that the changes the parents want in schools run counter to the Human Rights Code, policies of the Human Rights Commission and case law of the Tribunal. So there you have it, a teacher can tell your kid that there is no such thing as a boy or a girl and you can’t do a bloody thing about it. Except as Jordan Peterson has advised, take your kid out of class.
“The gender ideology that has recently infected elites is both dangerous and spreading fast. The idea that, in the last five years, we've discovered what gender really is, is the height of absurdity and I do think that the fundamental consequence is that it’s going to confuse more kids than it is going to help.
“Leaving sexuality entirely out of the schools wouldn’t “be a perfect solution, but state-mandated sex education hasn’t been perfect either because it’s become so contaminated with ideology. I think the schools should just leave it be. If your children are taught by ideologues then you should pull them out of the classes because there is no excuse for it.” Jordan Peterson
In the United States, parents have been confronting school boards about teachers imposing this gender ideology on their children, including encouraging them to change their gender without the parents knowledge.
So it is pretty clear that what Peterson rang the alarm bells on has come to pass. The inclusion of transgender rights within such legislation as the Canadian Human Rights Act, Criminal Code and Ontario Human Rights Code is being upheld by supporting bodies such as the Ontario Human Rights Commission and Tribunal. These bodies use a broad interpretive brush on the legislation, which have given the ideologues in this area the means trample the rights of others, while advancing their transgender activism agenda. Will this continue to be the case as we watch how the continuing saga of the Trafalgar Highschool drag queen shop teacher unfolds?
If you still don’t realize how far down the rabbithole we have gone on the issue how extreme the transgender activism ideology has gone, watch this exchange between US Congressman Andrew Clyde and Dr. Bhavik Kumar, on the subject of who can and cannot get pregnant and give birth to a baby.
In case you didn't catch what Dr. Kumar said, here it is “Men can have pregnancies, especially transmen…. Somebody with a uterus may have the capability of becoming pregnant whether they’re a woman or a man, that doesn’t make a difference, not everyone with a uterus has the ability to become pregnant. This is medicine.
