Its funny Roxanne but I recently posted a twitter talking about exactly this. It seems the word "far right" has become kind of like the word "anti semetic". You use that word and immediately debate is stopped and the accused is immediately assumed to be in the wrong. The media and left wing establishment have cleverly manipulated people to think "far right" means something far worse than it often is. Yes there are extreme right wing groups was are dangerous but most parties or people labelled far right or often just "right wing".
I think we can all agree that the "far left" are actually more dangerous in the end than the so called "far right". Its the "far left" who want censorship, more authoritarian cental control, more debt, higher taxes, more immigration and on and on. Frankly almost all the problems we now have in the western world are because of "far left" policies. Yet these government parties are never labelled "far left". The Liberals in Canada are clearly "far left" as are the NDP.
Agree one hundred percent, but I guess we can also agree that most mainstream media is also far left, so I guess if they called the Liberals or NDP that it would be the pot calling the kettle black. Happy New Year.

Labelling a group far right makes them seem extreme and extreme is seen to be bad by those who don't like what is right.
As to why does this perhaps it is because 'mainsteam media' is an anagram of 'mime Mr Satan idea'!
And because the mainstream media are also far left, so I guess it’s kind of hard to criticize what they already are.
Absolutely. They will be 'left far' behind as a consequence. :)
